DESCRIPTION: A.PRESSE 2026 COLLECTION RELEASE ITEM.

Based on a 50s engineer jacket. The hemline slopes less downward in the front than the original, creating a more comfortable and balanced design. The neckline has been less curved, the top narrowed to fit the neck better, and the length is slightly shorter. The fabric was created by analyzing vintage black chinos from around 1920 and studying the uneven spinning of warp threads at the time, and then slightly twisting the randomly arranged uneven yarns, then dyeing them extra dark with sulfur dyes. The left-hand twill weave is a 10oz selvedge chino with a pronounced twill weave, and it was slowly woven on a shuttle loom to create a fuller fabric. The selvedge is a solid color oxford weave to avoid overstating the look. The patina over approximately 100 years has been achieved by handcrafting the fabric.
