DESCRIPTION: A.PRESSE COLLECTION RELEASE ITEM.

This denim jacket is based on the 506XX wartime model, with an updated design, including the number of buttons, pocket shape, rivet placement, and stitching color. It features original tuck buttons. It's one size larger than previous denim jackets. The fabric is made from kibata denim, an analysis of the 13.5oz wartime model. Yarn was unraveled from vintage clothing and spun with a low-twist, nep-filled yarn and cotton leaf residue.

The unevenness is reproduced by recreating the natural machine unevenness due to the cotton blend and machine settings. The weft threads were analyzed and the rotation speed and shape were changed relative to the warp threads. While the cotton itself is now produced with improved whiteness through breeding, this blend incorporates American cotton (EMOT "Eastern, Memphis, New Orleans, Texas") to recreate a creamy color similar to the brown cotton of the time. It features a deeper indigo color than the regular denim, free of sulfur additives. The wash finish evokes a mint condition, one-wash finish, rarely seen in vintage garments.
