This oiled jacket is based on a 1930s US Army CCC Logger Jacket. It has been updated for easier wear by increasing the shoulder slope, lowering the armhole, and widening the sleeves compared to the original. The yoke and chest pocket positions, as well as the overall placement of details, have been lowered to create a balanced look. The jacket is crafted from a tent cloth fabric in a deep olive color, achieved by dyeing it in four subtly different shades, and then arranged in a crazy pattern.
The material used is a tent cloth woven with a high density, alternating between cotton-silk blend yarn and cotton slub yarn in both the warp and weft. The natural unevenness and high quality of the yarn give it a vintage look. By applying an oil coating, the unique texture of the cotton-silk blend with the oil is appealing. Furthermore, the oily slipperiness seen in vintage tent cloth is reproduced through product processing, and the characteristic chalk marks on the fabric surface are blended in through a final product wash.
