The 1950s saw a rapid growth of workwear brands due to the increased demand for clothing production during wartime, and the quality reached its peak.
This piece is a work jacket inspired by those jackets of that era.
Designed with a slightly shorter length, the body of the garment is based on the work clothes of a towing company that operated 24 hours a day in America at the time. It's
set up as a custom-made garment for that stylish company, and the lining features a Navajo-patterned printed flannel fabric.
The design blends the ruggedness of workwear with a playful, custom feel, and also expresses the aged look resulting from heavy labor.
