Based on the US Navy N-4 jacket, this jacket features a more wearable design with the back details removed and a slightly smaller collar. The number of front buttons has also been reduced by one. The shoulder slope has been increased compared to the original, and the sleeve cap has been lowered to create a more natural shoulder shape for easier wear. The warp threads are made of double-ply extra-long staple slub yarn, and the weft threads are woven in a herringbone pattern with alternating threads of strong and weak slub properties.

This expresses the natural unevenness of the warp and weft that is characteristic of vintage fabrics, which were born from the limited spinning technology of the time. The lining is made of double-woven satin with rayon in the warp and wool in the weft. The exquisite unevenness of dirt and fading, without becoming too dirty, has been reproduced by skilled craftsmen.
