Based on the 30's US Navy denim jacket, which has a rare simple design resembling a box shirt, the collar has been shortened to create a compact collar shape. We use a wider than usual roll stitch machine, which results in a wide stitch overall and slight differences in the look of the finished product, giving it a unique atmosphere.
The stitching is a slightly greenish grey. The holes are shirt holes. The original was made of plastic, but I arranged it with an original tuck.
The body length is short, giving it a loose silhouette similar to that of a tracker jacket.
The shoulder slope is stronger than the original and the sleeves are simple barrel sleeves, but they have been slightly curved to create a more three-dimensional look.
The outer fabric is made of a high density weft thread of the same count as that used for the 1302 class, and the warp thread is an original fabric that expresses the neppiness of the warp thread, which is a result of the immature spinning techniques of the 1930s, by using old cotton wool and weaving it in at a high density.
The hand-rubbed finish recreates the aging effect of a dark, mint condition piece.
*The original tack is made of iron, so it may darken or rust over time.
